The Vizsla breed bridges the gap between hunting companion and family dog.  They live to please both in the home setting and in the field.  Due to their desire to be with their humans, they are perfectly nicknamed "Velcro Dogs."  Vizlsas are highly intelligent and very biddable.  They come with high energy to go all day and make the perfect companion for hunting, hiking, biking, or running.  At the end of the day, there's no where else they'd rather be than snuggling next to their people.  Our goal as breeders is to produce the perfect Vizsla with an "on/off" switch.

At Hess Farms Vizslas,  we strive to provide the perfect match for both our buyers and our puppies.  There are a wide range of puppy personalities and strengths in every litter that will excel in different areas.  Being that we raise these puppies in our home and watch them from the moment of birth, we will be sure to find the perfect fit for you and your needs.  We encourage our puppy buyers to allow us to recommend the puppy that will be the best fit for their desired lifestyle.  All puppies are well socialized beginning at a young age and are born and raised in our house.  They will be up to date on vaccinations and worming upon going to their new families.

We guarantee the health of every puppy from our home to be free from genetic disorders, including hip dysplasia.  All of our dogs undergo OFA Hip Certification at 2 years of age to determine the presence of hip dysplasia, which is the most common inherited disease of the Vizsla breed. 

 

If at any point in time your lifestyle changes and you find you can no longer keep your Hess Farms Vizsla, we require  that you contact us and allow us to assist in rehoming the dog, no questions asked.  Whether the dog comes to live in our home or another appropriate home, we care very much for our puppies and desire the best outcome and home life possible for them.  The last thing we want is for a Hess Farms Vizsla bred dog to be placed in an already over crowded shelter.

 

All Hess Farms Vizslas are registered with AKC and American Field.  We do require a signed puppy contract with every purchase to ensure the best possible life for our breedings.   The Puppy contract will ensure the rights of both the breeder and the buyer and will ensure that the puppy will be given the best possible life.

We understand that choosing a breeder can be difficult.  We encourage you to contact us regarding any questions you may have.  We also encourage prospective buyers to visit our home or to attend an event we may be at to experience first hand the quality and personality of our dogs.  If you let us, we can talk vizslas for hours!
